My apartment is currently undergoing a minor renovation as we speak. We had to call-in the floor specialist to have the carpet removed.

Cookie Wong’s permanent pee & poo odor stains on the carpet is simply unbearable, to the extent we had to remove and install new maintenance-free laminated synthetic flooring boards, which cost AUD$1,200 including installation.

The process of removal and installation takes half-day to complete and I’m here blogging in my room, also monitoring the process at the same time.

Before the carpet removal can be done, first to empty the entire living room.

The living area is sooo much bigger now. Be it the house in KL or in Melbourne, our place is always full of junks.

Cookie Wong’s fresh pee stain this morning. There’s always something fresh every morning.

Long due stains on the carpet. The carpet is sooo damaged that it can’t be undone with simple steam-cleaning.

Some parts of the carpet removed. Stains well-absorbed into the under layer. The source of bad odor …

Carpet removal completely done. Now to vacuum the dust on the concrete floor.

New flooring boards installation commencing, less than half-way done. I expect it’s gonna take another 2-3 hours to completion.

I’m just gonna end here and go do some chit-chatting with the installation guy outside.

By the way, I’m going back to KL tomorrow afternoon. Coming back to Melbourne early August, which is like 1.5 months from now till then.
